It’s one of the most beautiful parts of Snowdonia with some great attractions such as Portmeirion, Ffestiniog Railway and the Llechwedd slate caverns. It’s the epitome of ‘mountains and coast’ – not any old coast, but miles and miles of pure soft sand.
Despite all this it seldom gets very busy – great for those who live here but a shame for people running tourist related businesses. The objective of the website is to put the area on the map linked to from an eBrochure. Once on the site visitors can drill down to find details of accommodation, places to eat and drink and contacts for a wide variety of activities.
The website is ’information rich’ containing a collection of relevant local stories that help bring the place to life. The project, funded by Communities First, was completed within 4 weeks ready to attract people for the summer 2010 season. The Welsh version is at www. DyFf.co.uk
