Campbell’s Cottage is a self-catering business next to the Ffestiniog Railway one mile up the line from Tan y Bwlch. Previously the business had been marketed as Snowdonia Manor, as both the manor house and the cottage were available for holidays. As such the web design emphasised the larger property but, as that is no longer rented out, the messages were inappropriate and confusing.
The new branding emphasises the cottage and its connections with the eccentric Colonel Campbell including the private platform named after him.
The target market is families with young children, railway enthusiasts and people who enjoy walking or just peace and quiet up a mountain. The messages and images within the website are aimed to appeal to those categories.
